I saw the coolest bumper sticker ever and I had to share it with everyone.
If you don’t get it, I really like Half-Life (The video game), and Gordon Freeman is the man. I wonder how many people in Springfield have actually seen this jeep and understood the bumper sticker?
On another note, I got a hair cut! Yay! I found a wonderful hair dresser at Trade Secret, and she basically rocks. It’s a shame I have to find a new hair dresser over the summer when I move!

I found this article on the new absinthe that came out last year. This guy tasted the new absinthe, called Lucid, and says it’s not actually as good as the imported version. I still want to taste Lucid, though…
Barely Legal: American Absinthe Passes the Taste Test
The absinthe revival, which has been on the move for more than a decade, just took a leap forward. For years, American aficionados of the banned beverage that inspired such artists as Vincent Van Gogh and Marilyn Manson, have made do with quasi-legally imported European brands or, worse yet, near-substitutes made without wormwood, the critical ingredient that gives absinthe its distinctive, biting taste.
You need wormwood to make real absinthe, but the herb is a tricky one to work with — one of its key compounds, thujone, has long been considered the cause of the drink’s supposed side effects: hallucinations, artistic inspiration, degeneracy and homicidal mania. Thujone has been prohibited as a food and drink ingredient in the United States since 1912. (more…)

So I was on the internet last night…
And I ran across this blog called 90 Day Tania. It’s a suicide blog about this 25 year old girl who looks at life very depressingly. I read the whole blog, and I thought it sounded kinda inhuman on parts. I don’t know why someone would want to commit suicide other than to bring attention to themselves. If your life is so bad, then there’s nowhere to look but up. It couldn’t get worse, so try to make it better.
90 Day Tania is an “Anti ’suicide culture’ campaign aimed at these emo bloggers. Tania’s blog just seems odd to me, and I don’t know if it’s helping these depressed kids or not. Either way, it’s a very different/interesting read.
Also, while I was driving home the other day, I noticed this:
The bleeding logs at the base of the tree pretty much sum it up.

Zomg Cali Lewis totally used my soon-to-be new room on her Geek Brief #334! haha! She’s talking about a new site called Journey2Work. Darren stole my camera to take a picture of his journey to his home office

For all of you from the US who have seen commercials for freecreditreport.com, don’t beleive it. I repeat: IT IS A LIE. I received a small fee of 14.95 on my credit card a few days ago, and today I called to find out why. Apparently I signed up for a credit monitoring charging program when I got my FREE credit report. As I do not recall seeing this in their terms and conditions, I called to cancel my apparent ‘membership’. The nice lady from another country cancelled my membership, but she didn’t refund my money. I asked for a supervisor, but she said he doesn’t take calls. I got her name, and she told me a confirmation number would be in my email soon. So then I went to the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint. After looking around that site I found out they have had thousands of complaints just like mine! And they’ve been fined Twice for a million bucks!
My suggestion: Get your credit report from another site. Don’t do business with CiC Triple Advantage (the head business of fcr.com). They are fraudulent, scammers, and deceivers.
Ugh. I’m so pissed off.

…but being surrounded by sorority girls while on this plane is not. Kind of weird, actually. The flight attendant saw the girl beside me wearing greek letters. She goes, “Oh, you’re in blablabla, cool!” Then turns to me and says, “What sorority are you in?” I was like… wtf, are you serious? None. Sorry, I’m not about to throw away my money on a big pretty house to live in, so I can party and deal with drama. Naw, not for me.
I had a great Spring Break. Full of technolust. Fer realz.
I’m willing to say that Williamsburg Virginia is worth a visit. It’s beautiful. Although, dealing with all the other tourists in kinda a pain in the ass, but what can you do? There is so much colonial history, so many things to experience… Just go there
Battlestar Galactica Season 3 just came out on DVD, so Darren got a pre-ordered copy. We basically
played couch potato and watched almost the entire season, just in the nick of time for Season 4. It’s been a while since I’ve obsessed about a tv show…
Rock Band is AWESOME! Just puttin’ that out there.
Much Hak.5 tech lovin went on this week as well. J!NX had a $5 off sale for 3 days, so not only did I
spend some cash, but DK pimped his t-shirt on teh site as well. J!NX also started a EXP and Gold membership thing. It’s quite fun! Yay for RPG’s! The taping of episode 3×09 occurred yesterday, all day. We ustreamed all day for viewers. I learned how to use the broadcasting box thing… as well as how filming generally goes for each episode. All in all, the best spring break I’ve ever had!

So my Spring Break just started, and it started out on a glorious note. My roommates sister got hitched yesterday, and I have to say it was a wonderful experience. Not only are his sister’s the most friendly hospitable people EVAR, but they also really know how to have a good time.
We drove 6 hours to Dallas, Texas, where the whole family was meeting up. I have to say, I really hate Texas roads… I missed forested hills and the like. You can see way too much humanity from the road. I think one of the things I like about Missouri is the fact that you can’t see a lot of the residential areas from the roads because there is so much foretst. I like that about Virginia too… But Texas is dry, plain, and very dusty… And they have a highway named after George W. Bush D:
The wedding was medium sized, with lots of friends and family… probably no more than 200 people. It was beautiful. Everything from Rosie’s dress to the flower arrangements… everything was perfect. This was the first wedding I have been to since I was a child, so I really enjoyed it and paid attention to all the small details… Who knows? Maybe someday I’ll be in her shoes (hahaha, waaaaaaay down the line!). The reception was so fun! The whole family was there, along with a photographer from HarttPhoto, a dj, and a man recording the entire thing to video. I didn’t like the dj much. He played a lot of music that’s fun and lovey dovey, but very hard to dance to. Weddings are all together fun to be at :) I am so happy for Rosie and I wish her all the best! <3

What is your social network of choice? Mine would have to be facebook. I’m not really a big fan of the news feed or having to approve each friend or event one at a time, but other than that Facebook is basically kick ass. I think my sister would choose Myspace… That seems to be the big thing among 5 year olds. Once upon a time, I turned off Ad Block for Firefox and went to Myspace. It was a nightmare. There is a new site still in beta for gamers called Pwned. But it’s more like a myspace network for 17 year olds from myspace who play nintendo. And then there’s Twitter, Bebo, Hi5, Pownce, and Friendster… but I only know about 2 people who use any of those…
Back to my question: There are so many social networking sites on the net now… Do you use any of them?

Episode 16 of Pure Pwnage came out yesterday as a sneak peak for viewers in Canada. I’m pretty excited, not gonna lie! I really love that online show, and every episode is fun to watch. For those of you that don’t know, Pure Pwnage is a show about a guy named Jeremy, who games 24/7. His brother Kyle films everything Jeremy does in a documentary style. A lot of Jeremy’s gaming becomes real life when his friends become his enemies, and people start using their powers from video games for good/bad in RL (real life). It’s very niche and you really have to be a gamer to understand most of the jokes in the show.
After traveling to Canada in March of ‘06 with a friend, I can honestly say Pure Pwnage changed my life. I’ve met people worldwide through the forum community and the ones I’ve met in real life. I have taken the most enjoyable vacations ever, and I have the best memories of each one. The cast and crew are also people I’m thankful for meeting. They are all very nice and kind to their fans, specially the hardcore ones. I respect the PP crew for not becoming a mainstream show, and keeping to their origin, online with the gamers that started watching the show a few years ago.
Pure Pwnage is always a great treat to be had every few months when a new episode is introduced.
Back on track: The episode will be available online for free download on the 8th of this month, and I’m looking foward to watching it with my boyfriend, Darren, who I met in Canada through Pure Pwnage. <3

When I was in middle school, I was first introduced to the cult world of anime… I didn’t know much about it til I moved to Waynesville, where I met a group of friends who knew much more than I ever dreamed of. Well, about three years ago, my friend Matt invited me to this thing called Acen- Anime Central Convention held in Chicago, Illinois. I went for three years straight, but this year, I graduate that same weekend. /sigh
But I guess graduating is more important? EEK!!! 11 weeks!
