Tech Haul! Home Gadgets Under $100 For The Home Office

I got a little haul of tech products for use around the home! All of this were pretty quick reviews, but I wanted to share them with you and let you know my thoughts after testing them! All of these are available on Amazon so I'll put those links below. And special thanks to iHome and GuruNanda for sending over a couple of these for review.

So first off is the guru nanda essential oil diffuser and cool mist humidifier:

  • wanted to test this because our dry climate is hard on my sinuses

  • incredibly easy to use and clean.

  • One big compartment for both water and essential oils

  • Fill it up with water, add some drops of essential oils, and power it on!

  • The + and - buttons lower or increase the mist settings

  • The LED button turns on or turns off the LED RGB glowing lighting

  • Works for 16 hours before you need to refill it

  • Suggest cleaning every three days by removing the top and cleaning everything out.

  • It comes with a brush and two extra filters.

  • Costs $80

  • Super quiet! Nice design. Very easy to use.

ihome zenergy candle

  • It's a bluetooth speaker with lighting and zen sounds built in.

  • Click bluetooth button on the back to pair with your phone

  • Plays music or podcasts like any other bluetooth speaker would

  • Sound is a little muddy with very little bass. There's not a lot of distinction in the audio. Take Pink Floyd for example, it's hard to hear the different instruments clearly and be able to distinguish between them.

  • It really shines as a white noise machine though.

  • Press the music notes button for Sound Therapy and cycle thru the modes. They include the default breathing coaching, but there's also several zen modes and also many natural noises, like ocean waves, a storm, wind chimes, nature sounds, and it has white noises

  • The light is cool. Also several modes. Brightness can be adjusted up or down.

  • Candle looks like candlelight flickering.

  • Nightlight is a dim yellow light

  • Glow and One Color give you RGB options

  • and Pulse pulses with bluetooth audio

  • Battery operated, or can power with micro-USB. Lasts for 10 hours. Also includes a timer so you can fall asleep with it on and set it to 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1, 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours.

  • $50 on Amazon

  • Really wouldn't use this to listen to music because the speaker is low quality. But it's a great sound machine and I really like the candle glow.

ihome health poweruvc pro

  • costs about $80

  • Bluetooth speaker, alarm, and a sanitizing station

  • The sanitizer works by pressing the UV button on the top and leaving a device inside the box for a few minutes. It'll chime when it's done.

  • It also has a clock and alarm, so you can set the time and set two alarms to wake ya up in the morning. A snooze button will let you snooze the alarm for 9 minutes.

  • The alarm can be set to a bluetooth device or four different tones, all of which are pretty similar.

  • The bluetooth speaker is easily connected to a bluetooth device, and the audio is pretty similar to the zenergy candle - it's not really clear, kinda muddy. And bass lacks.

  • There are two 1A USB ports - one on the back and one on the inside, to charge your devices. 1A is pretty slow and there is no wireless charging in the sanitizer.

  • Lastly, if the display is too bright for you, you can lower the brightness by pressing the snooze button. You can also just turn off the display completely.

  • Would be better with a qi charger or faster USB ports. Also would've liked more alarm styles.

CyberPower Battery Backup and Surge Protector UPS System

  • Costs about $90 on Amazon right now

  • Comes with 6 battery backup outlets, 3 plain surge protector outlets, and 3 ECO controlled outlets.

  • LCD panel displays details like the battery and power conditions

  • If UPS detects that the connected computer is in sleep or off modes, it'll turn off power to any peripherals connected to the ECO mode outlets to reduce power consumption

  • Comes with a 3 year warranty and connected equipment guarantee.

  • Using this as a battery backup for my editing PC in the event of a power outage

  • If power does go out, the LCD screen will show you how long the battery backup will last. CyberPower estimates 7.9 minutes at half load, 2.3 minutes at full load.

  • If the alarm goes off due to power outage, you can Turn the alarm off by hitting the power button twice

That's it for my at-home tech haul!
